Residential Instructors

Tasked with creating an engaging and safe environment, RIs orchestrate a variety of activities tailored to student interests, including movie nights, special meals, and interactive games. Beyond fostering community, RIs are equipped with essential safety training. All staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid, ensuring preparedness for any emergency. Furthermore, our team includes qualified lifeguards, with some RIs holding Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certifications, enhancing our ability to provide a safe environment for aquatic activities.

Our commitment to student well-being extends to mental health. RIs receive gatekeeper training, focused on suicide prevention and mental health awareness, equipping them to offer support and guidance. This training complements their role in managing the logistical aspects of residential life, such as dispensing medication and facilitating medical appointments. Our dorm families model creates a familial atmosphere, where students can feel at home, secure in the knowledge that someone is always there for them, even for late-night emergencies or hospital visits.
